Saakashvili Saperavi Qvevri Red Dry Wine
Made from Georgia’s flagship grape, Saperavi, this wine is fermented and aged in underground clay vessels known as qvevri. Produced by Saakashvili’s Wine Cellar in Kakheti, it combines the intensity of Saperavi with the depth and authenticity of Georgia’s most ancient winemaking tradition.
This wine shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. Its bouquet is rich and complex, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, and subtle hints of smoke and spice. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and structured, with firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, layered finish.
Food Pairing
Saakashvili Saperavi Qvevri is a perfect companion for roasted lamb, game, barbecue, and hearty stews. Thanks to its tannic structure, it also pairs well with aged cheeses and traditional Georgian meat dishes such as mtsvadi.
